UEFA is considering completing the Women’s Champions League this season.

The governing body is looking to complete the tournament in August and September, according to The Telegraph, with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final left to play.

The quarter-finals were due to be played on March 25 with Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Lyon, Bayern Munich, Glasgow City, Vfl Wolfsburg, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain all vying for a spot in the semi’s.

Women’s leagues around the globe have been cancelled including England’s Women’s Super League and France’s Division 1 Feminine.

An announcement from the Football Association about the return of the WSL for next season is also set to be revealed alongside the Champions League in June.

The WSL is currently scheduled to return on September 27.

A UEFA spokesperson told The Telegraph: “A working group has been set up with the participation of representatives from the leagues and clubs to examine calendar solutions and format options that would allow for the completion of the current season.”
