West Ham host 20,000 crowd at London Stadium but Spurs spoil the party with 2-0 win

Tottenham secured a 2-0 win against West Ham in front of a bumper 20,000 crowd at the London Stadium.

Rianna Dean opened the scoring, heading home after a near-perfect cross from teammate striker Rosella Ayane.

West Ham tried to get back into the game, pressing forward while remaining strong at the back, thanks largely to Kate Longhurst.

But Lucy Quinn sealed the points for Spurs with the second goal in the remaining few minutes of the match. She fired home from a low shot into the far corner of the net, leaving goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse no chance.

The last time Spurs visited West Ham in a league match was back in 2017, when the away side ran out as 7-0 winners.

But while Spurs dominated again this time, West Ham had countless shots on goal only to fall short at the last minute.
