Women's Super League Preview: How Birmingham City are shaping up for the new season

Birmingham City are likely to be one of the dark horses this season but as the last campaign showed, they can get very close to springing a real surprise.

The Blues were impressive as they finished in fourth, and just two points behind Chelsea and just outside the Champions League places.

They have seen a wealth of activity in the recent transfer window and while they could be light in defence, they will hope to show the qualities that saw them concede only 17 goals last term.
