WSL round-up: League leaders Manchester City remain in top spot after thrilling draw against Chelsea as Man Utd get first win in three

Manchester City continue to occupy top spot in the Women's Super League after a 3-3 draw against Chelsea.

Both sides put on impressive displays as the scoring went back-and-fourth minute after minute.

City's Ellen White scored the opener and Chelsea's Ji So-yun was quick behind with the equaliser.

In the second half, shots were fired left and right which saw Georgia Stanway score City's second, whilst Chelsea's Magdalena Eriksson and Bethany England added to the scoresheet. Lauren Hemp saved City with the equaliser and the last goal of the game.

Elsewhere, Manchester United recorded their first win in three games with a 3-2 victory at Everton.

Leah Galton scored twice minutes apart in the first half and Ella Toone added the third.

Everton decided to pick up their game with goals from Danielle Turner from a header and Lucy Graham which caught Red Devils' keeper Mary Earps off guard.

Bristol City won 1-0 against Birmingham City at Damson Park. A tightly-contested game saw forward Ebony Salmon strike the only goal of the game in the 75th minute.

Similarly, Tottenham and Brighton & Hove Albion saw just one goal, despite Spurs having five shots on goal, to Brighton's two. Spurs forward Rianna Dean got the winner from the penalty spot.

West Ham United sit in eighth after a 4-2 win against bottom of the table Liverpool at home with Adriana Leon and Martha Thomas both scoring twice. Liverpool's Rachel Furness scored twice late on but it was too little too late.

The next round of matches take place on March 22.
