GB sprint star Dina Asher-Smith upset with Olympic bosses on delaying Tokyo decision for a month

GB sprint star Dina Asher-Smith has expressed her anger at Olympic bosses for delaying a decision on Tokyo 2020 for up to four weeks.

Asher-Smith is one of many athletes from around the world who have been sharing the same concern over the staging of the Games which are due to start on July 24.

The 24 year-old, who recently became world champion in the 200m, wrote on Twitter: "So wait... does this mean that athletes face up to another FOUR weeks of finding ways to fit in training - whilst potentially putting ourselves, coaches, support staff and loved ones at risk just to find out they were going to be postponed anyway!!!"

And in response to the huge pressure that is being put on the Games, world athletics president Lord Coe has called for Tokyo to be postponed.

He wrote in a letter to International Olympic President Thomas Bach that the Games is 'neither feasible or desirable'.
