Charley Hull confirmed for World Invitational

England's Charley Hull has confirmed that she will play at the World Invitational in Northern Ireland this week.

The 23-year-old, who turned pro in 2013, has since won titles on the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour and has played in the last three Solheim Cups. She will also be named in this year's team when it is announced today.

The men's and women's World Invitationals will take place at Galgorm Castle and Massereene.

World number 28 Hull mainly competes in the United States but was recently in contention at her home course at the Women's British Open at Woburn before carding a final-round 76 to drop out of the running.

The young Brit is excited at the prospect saying: "Tournaments like this are great for the game."

She added: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to compete in such an exciting new event and brand-new format."

The ISPS Handa World Invitational beings with a celebrity pro-am on Wednesday before the first round gets under way on Thursday.
