Home favourite Carly Booth makes a late surge at the Ladies Scottish Open

Carly Booth has surged up the leaderboard at the Ladies Scottish Open to put herself six shots off the lead.

The home favourite shot a bogey-free 66 to now sit joint fifth going into the final day while Thailand's Moriya Jutanugarn leads the pack at 16 under.

Booth, 27, carded a five under at The Renaissance Club and now lies at 10 under alongside American Jane Park, Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn Korea's Chella Choi, and Solheim hopeful Anne van Dam (Ned).

Overnight leader Mi Jung Hur lies in second place with Jeongeun Lee6 and England's Georgia Hall is five under after a round of 71.

Other Brits in the competition include Charley Hull at four under and Larua Davies and Holly Clyburn both at two under.

Sunday is the final day for Euopean Solheim hopefuls to make a bid for Monday's captain's wildcard selection spots.
