Ireland footballer - and radiographer - Siobhan Killeen has revealed she has tested positive for the coronavirus but is 'doing fine'.

The 27 year-old first experienced symptoms on Sunday, was tested on Monday and the positive result came back the next day. 

She said that the days leading up to it she felt 'good' and that her energy levels weren't low. But things took a turn for the worse on Sunday evening. 

She said on RTE Radio 1's Morning Ireland: "I got the sweats in the sitting room after working that morning and a really bad headache.

"I never really got respiratory symptoms, I didn't have difficulty breathing, a sore throat or cough.

"Looking back, I may have coughed once or twice over the weekend, it was nothing out of the ordinary."

But the radiographer who works at Dublin's Mater Hospital, has urged people to listen to government advice as she is now in self-isolation. 

She added: "I'm doing fine. I’m not an infectious disease expert, I’m just listening to what I’m told.

"I’m working in a hospital and taking the advice of experts and following suit.

"We will get through it, once we all play our part, and everyone has such a big role to play. We need to obey the regulations that are being put in place.
