Jamie Chadwick has announced she will partner up with Jaguar Racing for the Formula E event in Marrakesh on February 29.

The 21-year-old W Series champion will look to go one step further than fellow British driver Sam Bird did in 2016 when he finished second at the Moroccan race.

And Chadwick is excited to be competing in an event outside of the W Series, which she will return to preparing for after the race.

The Bath-born driver posted on Twitter: "Delighted to be teaming up with @JaguarRacing for the Official Rookie @FIAFormulaE test in Marrakesh next week! An amazing opportunity and I can’t wait!!"

Jaguar Racing added: "We're thrilled to announce 21 year-old @JamieChadwick55 as our first @FIAFormulaE #MarrakeshEPrix Rookie Test driver! The 2019 @WSeriesRacing champion will test the @Jaguar #ITYPE4 on Sunday 1 March. #ABBFormulaE"

After the race, Chadwick will be concentrating on the W Series, with the 2020 season getting underway in May.
