W Series champion Jamie Chadwick earns first super license points as she continues pursuit of Formula 1 dream

Britain's Jamie Chadwick began her pursuit of a place in Formula 1 by picking up super license points at the F3 Asian Championship.

The 21-year-old, who made a name for herself by winning the all-female W Series last year, finished fourth at the event and picked up ten of the 40 points needed to race in F1.

The series was won by The Netherlands' Joey Alders, with Australian Jack Doohan and Russian Nikita Mazepin propping up the podium.

It is the perfect start to the season for Chadwick, who can pick up 15 more super license points if she retains her W Series title in 2020.

If the British driver does make it onto the grid at an F1 race, she will become the first woman to do so since 1976.

The W Series kicks off in May, with the first race taking place in St Petersburg, Russia.
