England Rose Laura Malcolm re-signs for Manchester Thunder for 2020 campaign

Laura Malcolm has re-signed for Vitality Netball side Manchester Thunder ahead of the 2020 season.

She was part of the team during the club's title win last year where she played a vital role providing strong leadership on and off the court.

The 28-year-old has also been selected as one of the 29 players on the England Roses programme come the new season.

Malcolm said: “I can’t wait to be back at Manchester, the atmosphere from the crowd at some of our games was the best I’ve ever experienced."

In previous years Malcolm has played for Severn Stars but was part of the Thunder team when they won the title in 2012 and 2014. The 5ft 9 athlete plays centre, wing attack and wing defence.

Director of Thunder Netball Karen Greig added: “I am delighted Laura has re-signed. She proved last season to be a huge asset with her ability to cover all three centre court positions.

“She is an incredibly hard-working athlete and I am excited to see Laura develop further and for us to look at defending the title.”
