Team Bath announce new signing in time for the Vitality Superleague

Team Bath Netball have re-signed youngster Abi Robson in time for the 2020 Vitality Superleague season.

This will be her third consecutive season in the Blue & Gold senior squad. She has worked her way up through the ranks after first playing for Team Bath’s junior section during the 2012-13 season.

The 21 year-old stormed through the performance pathway before making her senior debut in 2018.

She said: “It’s such a privilege to play among such experienced players week in and week out which has massively helped my game. The facilities are world-class and it’s an amazing training environment – the people here have created a great culture which is amazing to be a part of.”

Robson also brings international experience after being part of the Under-17 and Under-21 Red Roses squad.

Head coach of Bath Netball Anna Stembridge said: “She just has something about her and is a coach’s dream to work with thanks to her willingness to go that extra mile.

“She has a brilliant ‘team first’ attitude and even when she isn’t playing she gives everything she has to ensure those who are on court are in the best place possible.”

She will be joining confirmed signings Imogen Allison, Mia Ritchie, Rachel Shaw and Eboni Usoro-Brown.

Bath will take on Loughborough Lightning in the season opener in February at the Arena Birmingham.
