Tracey Neville announces her pregnancy just months after stepping down from England Netball role

Former England Netball head coach Tracey Neville has announced she is expecting a baby.

Neville, 42, stepped down from her coaching role after leading the Roses to the bronze medal at the Vitality Netball World Cup in July, saying she wanted to focus on starting a family.

Twin of England Women's football coach Phil and sister of former footballer now pundit Gary, Neville also led England to their historic gold medal win at the Commonwealth Games in 2018 having taking over the role from Anna Mayes.

"Nothing and nobody can prepare you for this moment," she posted on Instagram alongside a scan of her baby.

Her partner Michael Timmins said: "Over the moon is an understatement."

Neville was succeeded at England by former Team Bath head coach Jess Thirlby.

Thirlby this week announced her squad for her first tour as coach when the Roses head down under for a tour of Australia and New Zealand.
