The 30 year-old, who guided her team to a historic gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the gold coast, attended a ceremony at Buckingham Palace to receive her award from Prince Charles.

The mid-court player took to Instagram to share her excitement.

She wrote: "As far as days go.. this one was PRETTY special.

"Sometimes it's days like this which make you reflect on the journey you've been on.

"Cant stop. Wont stop. But for now... time to just bottle this day up and celebrate some incredible achievements.

"Congratulations to all who received their honours today."

The Jersey-born netball star was also at the helm when England finished on the podium at the 2019 Vitality Netball World Championships in Liverpool.

She added further excitement on her Twitter calling the award "a true honour" and remarked that she would see the prince again at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
