Olympic judo bronze medallist Sally Conway says knee surgery was a success

British Olympic judo bronze medallist Sally Conway has said that her knee surgery has been a success.

Conway won bronze at the 2016 Rio Games and she also has Commonweatlh and World Championship bronze medals.

The athlete took to Twitter to share that the surgery had been successful. Alongside photos of her in hospital she wrote: "Yesterday I had a operation on my meniscus. It all went really really well & I walked out of hospital the same day...Bloody Amazing!

"Thank you to @judoscotland @sportscotland_  for making this possible. Little bit of recovery & rehab now. I’ll be back doing what I love in no time X"

She has not confirmed if she will be competing at the Tokyo Olympics.
