England rugby's most capped player Rocky Clark says Red Roses' Hannah Botterman is 'becoming a leader'

England rugby's most capped player Rocky Clark has said how impressed she is by Red Roses and Saracens player Hannah Botterman.

Clark, who played 137 times for England, is a player and coach at Saracens, where England's Botterman plays at club level.

And despite Botterman being just 20 years of age, Clark believes she is already 'becoming a leader'.

She said: “She’s a very, very good prop already and I’m just excited to see how far she can go. She’s still a baby in propping terms.

“It’s exciting to watch her carry, she’s developing in the scrum and becoming a strong scrummager.

“I’m just excited because a lot of propping comes down to experience as well and she’s gaining that.

“Week in, week out she’s progressing, becoming a leader at such a young age, grabbing the bull by the horns in the tough games. She’s a 'go to player' and I’m just excited to be involved on her journey.”

Botterman's next game for England will likely be in their Six Nations match against Ireland on February 23.
