The Tyrrell's Premier 15s kicked off this weekend, with five matches and plenty of points on the scoreboard.

Harlequins hosted Richmond at The Stoop, the first time the women had opened their season at Quins home of rugby.

Quins beat Richmond in an astonishing 101-0 win to bag their spot at the top of the table.

Defending champions Saracens travelled to the west country to take on Bristol Bears. They got their campaign underway with a 35-22 triumph over the Bears.

Sarries Marlie Packer said post-match: "To come back and get the win how we did is just fantastic and shows that resilience that we've got here at Saracens."

There was another away win with Gloucester-Hartpury beating Firwood Waterloo 48-7. Although her side lost, Waterloo's Vanessa Temple had the consolation of gaining her 50th club cap.

Budding club Loughborough Lightning won their opening match against Darlington Mowden Park Sharks. The final score at Loughborough university was 27-12.

And finally, Wasps beat Worcester Warriors 47-10.
