Preview of the big clash in the Premier 15s as Harlequins take on Saracens
London rivals Harlequins and Saracens will clash this weekend when they face off in the Premier 15s.
Both sides remain unbeaten after eight rounds of the tournament and the result of this match could be pivotal in the league.
So let's look back at previous results, the best results of each side's season so far, and which players to look out for.
The Premier 15s is in its third season and, with both London clubs reaching the final in the past two years, Sarries and Quins have played each other six times.
In the regular season both clubs have beaten each other twice, showing just how equal they are.
However, the tipping point comes when you look at the results of the finals.
In 2017, Saracens won 24-20 to take the inaugural title, and they landed another blow to Quins last season with a 33-17 victory to become back-to-back champions.
The 2018 final was not only the last time they played each other, it was also the biggest difference in points out of the six times they have met.
Sarries fullback Sarah McKenna told NewsChain in October that the club were already confident for their upcoming match.
McKenna said: "We're focusing on what we're doing at Saracens, the way previous results have gone we do feel confident, we feel we have the artillery to cope with anything anyone throws at us."
Biggest victories so far this season
Although Saracens have been impressive this season, Harlequins have recorded the biggest victory.
Quins destroyed Richmond 101-0 at The Stoop in September with a hoard of 15 tries.
Abbie Scott was captain on the day and came out with fighting talk in the post-match interview.
She said: "We have set our standard now. Everyone was on the same page and it was fantastic."
Saracens most decisive win has been against Firwood Waterloo as they claimed a 73-3 victory away from home in October.
Harlequins player to watch out for is Chloe Rollie.
The fullback always manages to get her name on the scoreboard, and in Quins' demolition of Richmond Rollie's try was the highlight of the match after her quick thinking and fast feet meant she ran the entire pitch to score.
While Saracens deadly weapon is Georgie Lingham, who scored a hat-trick in Saracens' last home game of the season against Darlington Mowden Park Sharks.
Harlequins vs Saracens kicks off at 3pm, so keep an eye out for NewsChain's coverage of the big match.
