Scotland women's Six Nations match against Italy cancelled due to the coronavirus

Scotland women's Six Nations match against Italy has been cancelled due to the coronavirus, says the Italian Government. Due to an increased number of Covid-19 cases in the Milan Area, the Italian Authorities have decided to cancel all sporting events in the Veneto and Lombardi Regions.

The match was set to be held in Legnano at 5.10pm today.

Scottish Rugby have supported the decision that has been made due to the health and safety concerns for the players, staff and supporters.

Six Nations, the Italian Rugby Federation and Scottish Rugby will continue their discussions of when to reschedule the fixture.

Scotland have lost both of their first Six Nations matches against Ireland and England.
