Two tries for Jodie Rettie as Saracens earn another bonus point with convincing win over Richmond

Two tries from Jodie Rettie and an unblemished kicking performance from Lisa Martin helped Saracens beat Richmond Women 42-7 and claim a bonus point in the Tyrrells Premier 15s.

As Storm Dennis loomed on the horizon, the kick-off time was brought forward and at first seemed like it might have unsettled top-of-the-table Sarries.

The away team quickly fell behind as Richmond claimed the first try of the game. A successful conversion put them 7-0 after just four minutes forcing Saracens to wake from their stupor and put their foot on the gas.

After dominating a scrum at 18 minutes, Rettie managed to get the ball over the line and Martin slotted the conversion to draw the scores level.

The floodgates were opened for Saracens, with Rocky Clark's try helping them head into half time 14-7.

Following the break, Saracens kept up momentum with Rettie claiming a second. Hannah Botterman then got in on the action as did Vicky Fleetwood and Poppy Cleall put the final nail in the coffin with a successfully converted try.

Lisa Martin put in a superb display of kicking as she successfully converted five of the six tries to help her team gain the bonus point and sit top of the table.
