US Open champion Bianca Andreescu has revealed she is addicted to watching Netflix during her recovery period.

The 19 year-old Canadian withdrew from the WTA Finals in October after she suffered a knee injury and is yet to return to the court for the 2020 season.

And while managing her way back to full fitness, she has admitted a rather unusual addiction has pulled her in during her spare time.

She said: "I’m addicted to Netflix, I don’t think that’s a good thing. That’s the best therapy for me. I’m just taking it day by day, doing better and better as the days go on. 

"I’m very pleased about that. I’ve been doing a lot of rehab on my knee, a lot of strengthening."

Andreescu was hoping to return at the Miami Open on March 23 but will now be made to wait after tournament organisers announced yesterday it was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
