WTA Rankings: Lyon Open champion Sofia Kenin continues her rise with new career-best world No. 4

Sofia Kenin has climbed to a career-high world No. 4 in this week's WTA Rankings following her triumph at the Lyon Open.

The 21-year-old, who picked up her first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in February, has now climbed ten places since the start of January.

Kenin came through four three-set matches on her way to victory in France and has now leapfrogged Bianca Andreescu, who slips down to sixth.

The other big movers of the week include Marie Bouzkova, who finished runner-up to Elina Svitolina at the Monterrey Open in Mexico.

She climbs ten places to No. 47 thanks to impressive wins over the likes of Britain's Johanna Konta.

It is also a big week for Romania's Irina-Camelia Begu, who breaks back into the top 100, moving up 23 places to world No. 81.
