Unbeaten Chelsea seek seventh consecutive Women's Super League victory against winless Liverpool

The Women's Super League is heading towards its final weekend round of matches before the three-week Christmas break.

Here we continue our daily round-up of another busy programme.

Next up is perhaps is a clash between two sides who have endured dramatically different starts to the season.

Liverpool vs Chelsea

Safe to say the opening three months of Liverpool's WSL campaign could not have gone much worse.

They currently sit bottom of the table without a win and just two points from nine games.

With that being said, they did show great character last time out to battle back from a goal down and salvage a draw against West Ham.

They have also only conceded 11 goals so far in the league, so The Blues will have to work hard to break down what is an impressive yet underrated defence.

Emma Hayes' side have to be considered the favourites for the title now they have beaten title rivals Arsenal and Manchester City.

Although it took the west London outfit nearly 80 minutes to break down City on Sunday, there was no question they were the better team.

Beth England is in superb form and with the likes of Ji So-yun and Drew Spence for company Chelsea present an extremely threatening forward line.

The form table would suggest this match is only going one way.

But both Man City and Arsenal laboured to 1-0 wins over Liverpool, so there is no room for complacency in The Blues' camp.

The match kicks off at 2pm on Sunday and will be available to watch on the FA Player app.

There will also be a full round-up of all the weekend's action right here on the NewsChain website.
