Vitality Netball Superleague postponed until end of April

The Vitality Netball Superleague has confirmed they will postpone all fixtures until at least April 30 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The decision follows a meeting yesterday between both the board and the clubs to review the situation regarding COVID-19, which has been affecting sporting events worldwide and has now taken 55 lives in the UK.

The board and clubs will meet again in mid-April to discuss the next steps, with the possibility of it being delayed even further something they will have to consider.

In a statement, the Superleague said: "Whilst the 2020 season is only a few weeks old and there has been more excitement and engagement with the competition than ever before, the health and safety of all players, staff, officials, volunteers and fans is our main priority.

"We hope to return to the court in the near future but only when it is safe and appropriate to do so, we will keep you updated on the position of the league ongoing."
