Watch GB heptathlon star Katarina Johnson-Thompson reflect on Olympic journey with former pentathlete Mary Peters

Great Britain's world heptathlon champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson has reflected on her rollercoaster Olympic journey alongside Dame Mary Peters.

The 27 year-old tells how London 2012 was her 'door' into the athletics world, as she spoke to the former pentathlon legend and Olympic champion Peters.

At London 2012 she finished in 13th place and four years later at Rio boosted her performance and finished in sixth.

Johnson-Thompson said: "I feel like London 2012 was my door into the world of athletics and that's when I started saying this is full time what I want to do.

"In London I felt like I was absolutely loving life and I was waving to the crowd and was enjoying the atmosphere.

"In Rio, I was a completely different person. There was pressure on me and I was still only 22 years-old at the time and a lot of people expected me to win, and I expected me to win too."

But ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which begins on July 24, the world indoor champion feels 'ready' to take on the new challenge.
