WBO Super-Featherweight Champion Brodnicka signs for Matchroom Boxing as she eyes Harper-Jonas winner

WBO Super-Featherweight Champion Ewa Brodnicka has signed with Eddie Hearn’s promotional outfit Matchroom Boxing.

The 36-year-old Polish fighter boasts a perfect professional record of 19 wins from 19 bouts since turning over in 2013.

And Brodnicka is now hoping she can secure a unification clash with the winner of the WBC title fight between Terri Harper and Natasha Jonas on Friday night.

"I’m delighted to team up with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing," she said.

"Women’s boxing is on fire right now and I want to be in all the big fights starting with the unification match up between the winner of Harper and Jonas. I’m excited for the future and can’t wait for my return to the ring."

Hearn has been praised for bringing through a number of female boxers over the past few years including Harper, Katie Taylor and Savannah Marshall.

And he is looking forward to adding another women’s fighter to his roster as the female side of the sport continues to thrive.

"I’m delighted to welcome Ewa to the team," he added.

"This sets up a huge unification fight between the winner of Terri Harper vs. Natasha Jonas at Fight Camp at a time where women’s boxing continues to go from strength to strength."

Harper and Jonas will face off in the garden of Matchroom’s headquarters in Brentwood, Essex on Friday night, the first ever all-British women’s world title fight.
