Katie Ormerod retains World Cup lead with third place in Calgary

Katie Ormerod maintained her lead at the top of the slopestyle World Cup standings after finishing third at the event in Calgary, Canada.

Canadian Laurie Blouin took the win in front of her home crowd, while Norway's Silje Norendal came in second.

Now Ormerod, who has finished on the podium in all four of the World Cup events so far, needs to keep her position for just one more event and she will clinch the title.

If the 22-year-old secures overall victory, she would become the first British skier or snowboarder to win a World Cup.

Ormerod also lies in second overall in the park and pipe standings, with Xuetong Cai the only competitor in her way of leading both competitions.

The fifth and final meeting of the World Cup series takes place in Spindleruv Mlyn in the Czech Republic in March.
