NXT Women's Champion Rhea Ripley addresses title name controversy

NXT Women's 2020 Champion Rhea Ripley has revealed that she 'isn't bothered' about the controversy surrounding her title name.

Earlier this month the WWE were set to make changes to the NXT Women's Champion title, removing the word 'women's from it. But a few days later, they reverted the title back to its original.

The 23 year-old said: "To my belief it's gone back to the NXT Women's Championship just because there was a lot of uproar on social media.

"To be honest I don't really mind either or. It's not really a huge deal to me.

"If they did want to separate the championships, I don't see what the big deal would be if they just put Men's on the Men's Championship."

She recently defended her title at the NXT TakeOver Portland against Bianca Belair and now will begin her preparations ahead of WrestleMania's 36 where she will take on Women's Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair in April.
