Steve Martin shares bizarre meeting with Elvis involving three guns

Comic-actor Steve Martin has revealed an unforgettable encounter with music legend Elvis Presley.

Speaking to The Howard Stern Show, The now 76-year-old explained that he had been serving as an opener for Ann-Margret Olsson in 1971 when he and the King crossed paths.

Told by the crooner he had an “oblique” sense of humour, he was then invited to inspect the guns that the Jailhouse Rock singer was carrying on his person. A chance that Steve says he jumped at.

“Eventually, I’m holding three guns, and Elvis is holding 18 bullets,” he concluded.
