Simply The Best! Tina Turner sells rights to solo music in epic deal with BMG

Tina Turner has sold the rights to her music catalog to publishing company BMG.

In addition to some of her biggest hits such as Simply The Best and What’s Love Got To Do With It, they now owns the rights to her name, image and likeness for brand deals, merchandising, and more.

Speaking about what has been described as “the greatest artist acquisition in history,” the music icon, 88, said: “Like any artist, the protection of my life’s work, my musical inheritance, is something personal. I am confident that with BMG and Warner Music my work is in professional, reliable hands.”
