5 Ways To Maximize Your Candle's Burn Time

Here are five things you should always do to maximize your candle’s burn time and ensure you get value for money. To get a clean and even burn you should trim the wick to a quarter inch before lighting it. A longer wick will create a large flame that will leave soot specks on your candle jar. To avoid creating a huge pit in your candle you should always burn it to the edge of its container, this usually takes around 2 hours. Never burn a candle beside a vent, fan or draft as this causes it to burn unevenly. Blowing out the flame can sometimes push the wick down into the wax, because of this it’s best to use a candle snuffer. Never throw out the lid of your candle as they protect it from dust and help to preserve the wax.
