Seat On Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin Rocket Sells For $28 Million

A seat on Blue Origin’s New Shepard spacecraft has sold for $28 million, according to the company. The currently unnamed bidder will join Blue Origin owner Jeff Bezos and his brother Mark on a trip into space. Blue Origin have also announced that a fourth passenger will be named at a later time. The launch will see the four participants travel 62 miles above Earth before returning safely back down. Money raised from the auction will go towards Blue Origin's nonprofit foundation, Club for the Future. The foundation aims to inspire future generations to pursue careers in STEM and help invent the future of life in space.
