Former White House Economic Adviser Praises Biden Approach to China Through NATO

President Joe Biden made remarks at this year’s NATO summit, where he emphasized the importance of protecting democracy on a global scale as well as noting Russia and China as a potential threat or challenge. Harry G. Broadman, a former chair of President George H.W. Bush's Council of Economic Advisers and former President Clinton trade representative, said the U.S. and its NATO allies have to be more proactive and aggressive when it comes to China, in particular, as the nation expands its influences in places like Africa. "We’re not going to lie back and not retaliate, whether it’s on cyber warfare, whether it’s on economic warfare or other kinds of risks," he said.
