British Grand Prix To Have Full Capacity Crowd In July

The British Grand Prix at Silverstone will take place in front of a full capacity crowd in July. The news means that more than 140,000 spectators could be in attendance for the Formula One race. The GP is due to take place on July 18, one day before coronavirus restrictions are set to be lifted in the UK. However, a full crowd will be allowed at the event after the race organizers secured test event status from the government. "It is fantastic news that Silverstone will be a full capacity event and it will be an incredible weekend with hundreds of thousands of fans being there," Stefano Domenicali, President And CEO Of Formula 1. Britain's Lewis Hamilton and Dutch driver Max Verstappen are currently neck and neck in the F1 driver standings. The 2019 British Grand Prix had a race-day attendance of 141,000 fans.
