Loughborough Lightning snatch title from reigning champions Wasps in Fast5 championships

Loughborough Lightning have won the Fast5 All-Stars netball championships against reigning champions Wasps in the grand final.

In only 12 minutes, Lightning dominated the court and won 61-35 in the Midlands clash. This is not the first time Lightning have lifted the trophy as they won the Fast5 final in 2017 and today the roles simply reversed.

Wasps took on Surrey Storm to earn their spot in the final whilst Lightning faced Wales' Celtic Dragons.

Shooter Jo Harten said post match: "That was so much fun! I don't usually play with a smile on my face but this group of girls have been electric all day. The crowd have been amazing!"

On Loughborough's strong defence she added: "I'm 30 years-old now and I feel so rejuvenated because young kids 18, 19 years-old running around working their backsides off to get us the ball. It's been an absolute team effort."
