Women's FA Cup third round draw falls foul of the weather

Only three third-round Women's FA Cup ties have been confirmed as a number of second-round matches had to be postponed due to the weather this weekend.

The confirmed ties are Watford v Plymouth Argyle, Cardiff City v Southampton FC Women and Billericay Town v Actonians while the remainder of the draw are yet to play their second-round games.

The third round is split into separate northern and southern sections and games will take place on January 5 with winning clubs pocketing £1,250 from The FA prize fund alongside progress into the next round.

Clubs from the top two English tiers, the Barclays FA Women's Super League and Championship enter at the fourth round stage, with Manchester City looking to defend the title they claimed over West Ham in 2018.

Third Round ties for Women's FA Cup:

Northern section:

Fylde v Sunderland/Middlesbrough

Burnley/Hull City v Nottingham Forest

Chester-Le-Street Town/Loughborough Foxes v Stoke City/Huddersfield

Chorley/Brighouse Town v Barnsley

Southern section:

Ipswich Town v Portsmouth/Leyton Orient

Watford v Plymouth Argyle

Cardiff City v Southampton FC

Southampton Women v West Bromwich Albion/Lincoln City

Billericay Town v Actonians

The FA Cup Final will take place at Wembley Stadium on May 9.
