Tammy Beaumont and Dani Wyatt both hit tons as World Champions England secure win over Pakistan in first ODI

England openers Tammy Beaumont and Dani Wyatt continued their scintillating form from the Big Bash both hitting centuries as England stormed home to a 75 run victory in the first ODI against Pakistan in Malaysia.

Fresh from the Big Bash T20 series in Australia, Wyatt and Beaumont were quick off the mark as they set up the England innings with a partnership of 188.

Wyatt was the first to be dismissed as captain Bismah Maroof caught her off her own bowling. Beaumont and Heather Knight then put on another 60 before Beaumont fell to another Maroof catch, this time off the bowling of Rameen Shamim, but the damage had already been done.

More measured in her scoring, Beaumont reached her 107 from 141 balls while the ever-aggressive Wyatt made 110 from just 95 balls including 12 fours and three sixes.

Bowler Kate Cross got in on the action claiming 4-32 from her seven overs as Pakistan were bowled out in 44.4 overs for 209 in response to England's 284/6.

Maroof was the stand-out performer for Pakistan with the bat, making 69 before being bowled by Cross while the only other resistance came from Aliya Riaz who managed 39 from 35.

England will be back in action on Thursday as the two teams return to the Kinrara Oval for the 2nd of the three ODIs.
