Pete Davidson has revealed how Bob Saget “helped him through some rough mental health stuff,” as he paid tribute to “one of the nicest men on the planet,” following news of the Full House star’s sudden death at the age of 65.

The Saturday Night Live funny man, 28, shared a message via comedian Dave Sirus‘s Instagram as he is not active on social media him self.

It read: “Just wanted you guys to know that Bob Saget was one of the nicest men on the planet.

“When I was younger and several times throughout our friendship he helped me get through some rough mental health stuff.

“He stayed on the phone with my mom for hours trying to help in anyway he can – connecting us with doctors and new things we can try,” he continued. “He would check in on me and make sure I was okay.”

“I love you Bob it was an honor to know you. Thank you for your kindness and friendship. My condolences to the family,” Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend added.

Saget was found unresponsive by staff in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday.

The star’s exact cause of death remains unclear, but in a short statement posted to Twitter, the Sheriff’s Department said that detectives had found no signs of foul play or drug use during initial enquiries.
