US soccer star Alex Morgan criticises America's healthcare system as relative is tested for coronavirus

US soccer star Alex Morgan has taken aim at the American healthcare system after one of her family members was tested for coronavirus.

Morgan commented on a New York Times report outlining the amount of tests being carried out per million people in different countries.

Eight countries were included in the data: USA, South Korea, UK, Greece, Czech Republic, Austria, Australia and Italy.

The figures showed that the US fared worst, recording 100 tests per million. The United Kingdom came in fourth with around 600 per million while South Korea came out on top, surpassing 5,000 per million.

Morgan hit out on Twitter, saying: "A family member of mine got tested 6 days ago after coming home from Europe, having symptoms, and still has not received her results.

"This graph below scares me because we aren’t doing enough and we aren’t doing it fast enough either."
