The first half at the Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque was dominated by Barça, although the blaugranes were unable to translate that dominance into goals. Maia, Konrad, Collado and Peque all went close without success. Iñaki Peña was a pair of safe hands for Barça at the other end, whilst U19A star, Gavi, made his debut as a starter and impressed with some great individual and team play. The only negative aspect of the opening 45 was the injury of Álvaro Sanz, who had to be replaced by Ramos Mingo after 20 minutes.
