26 min: City regain control of the ball as Park finds Scott in the middle but the centre-back is snuffed out by three yellow Evertonian shirts.

Scott then tries to find Morgan with a looping ball from the touchline but she can’t execute a finish how she would have hoped. and it loops into the arms of Korpela.

23 min: Where do we go from there then? Everton suddenly look buoyant as they press for a second but it’s scrambled clear by Morgan. This game has completely changed in a matter of moments

21 min: GOAL! WOW! Against the run of play!

Unbelievably against the run of play Everton have the lead. Sorensen works half a yard to fizz a low ball into the box. Houghton slips in horrendous fashion and it’s left to Danielle Turner to thunder into the bottom corner from close range!

Did not see that coming.

19 min: We haven’t mentioned her too much yet but Lavelle is looking lively in and around the penalty area, making dangerous runs to draw space for others. You can’t imagine it’ll be too long before the ball falls to her in the box and you’d put your house on her making Everton pay for this sluggish start.

16 min: Park reaches a ball on the near touchline with great acceleration. She whips a dangerous ball in but it narrowly alludes Lavelle. 

Jess Park also looking excellent in these early stages.

14 min: Park clips a lovely ball through to Scott and as the England midfielder gets a toe to the ball she can’t quite feed Stanway through on goal. Lot of space for City to play with just now.

12 min: City come forward once more as Kelly is faced up against Sorensen one-on-one. Kelly sprints down the line dangerously but can’t get her cross right.

She can’t find the killer ball, but the former Evertonian looks mighty impressive in the early stages.

11 min: First chance for Sorensen to get on the ball as she clips one forward for Emslie but the ball skips off the turf and into the arms of Bardsley.

Everton look second best in every area at the moment.

10 min: Sloppy play from Clemaron sees Stanway nick the ball and try to start another attack but Park’s cross is cleared.

It’s been one-way traffic so far for the home side.

8 min: Corner is swung in after the Korpela save by Everton defend it well and danger is averted. Pressure early doors from the 2019 League Cup winners.
