44 min: CHANCE! Corner comes in from Kearns and Moore misses the header by inches as she dives to try and turn the ball goalwards.

It then bounces through to Furness and her shot is skewed wide! Both Liverpool players had to do better there.

Everton are on the ropes here They’ll want half-time.

HALF-TIME: Everton lead at the break through Izzy Christiansen’s early goal but they do not look comfortable at all. After a dominant first 15 minutes from the hosts, Liverpool have come right into the game and should be level. Rachel Furness missing a good chance and Amalie Thestrup also going close.

As we pause for half-time at Walton Hall Park it’s time to bring you some goal news from Meadow Park.

Arsenal have taken the lead against North London rivals Tottenham and it’s Vivianne Miedema with the goal. Lovely work from Kim Little as she lifts the ball over the Spurs backline and the Dutch striker makes no mistake.

46 min: Here we go then! Everton have made one change at the break here as Moe Wold comes on for Sevecke.

48 min: I think Willie Kirk has had some strong words in that dressing room with his Everton players because they have been running around like headless chickens at the start of this second half.

Still quite a scrappy game, but for the first time since the opening ten minutes or so the hosts appear to be on top again.

51 min: Liverpool now getting their foot back on the ball again here. Would love to know the possession stats for this game (which we don’t have). Think the visitors would almost certainly have had the majority.

54 min: Clinton does excellently for Everton to drive through a couple of Liverpool challenges and force a corner from the left-hand side for the Women’s Super League outfit.

It’s played short and then swept into the middle. Liverpool deal well with the high ball and danger is averted once more.

57 min: Everton needs this second goal here because this game could come back to bite them.

Kirk’s side do look in more control than they were in the first half but still aren’t really threatening the Liverpool defence.
