45 min: HALF-TIME: No added time as we go into the break goalless.

Can’t really believe there haven’t been any goals. United started well but since the first 10-15 minutes it has been all City.

Neither side managed to find the breakthrough in the first half. Who do you fancy to pick the lock in the second 45?

England boss Phil Neville is in the stands as we see a little shot of him with a cup of tea or coffee. Is Phil a tea drinker? He doesn’t seem vibrant enough to be buzzing off coffee.

46 min: Here we go then! City get us back underway,

48 min: Staniforth slides in Zelem but the United forward is just edged out of it as she tries to get her shot away.

The home side starting the second half very much how they began the game.

51 min: CHANCE! Oh my goodness, what happened there?! 

A passback to Karen Bardsley sees the English keeper swipe clean air as the ball rolls through to Heath. 

Heath fails to get her shot off straight away and then the chance looks to fade away from her as the City players get back in numbers. The World Cup winner eventually goes for goal but it’s into the side netting.

Bardsley breathes ANOTHER sigh of relief.

53 min: Staniforth tries her luck from distance after that Bardsley blunder galvanises those United forwards. The strike is well over the top, but the home side do look to be buoyed by the nervousness of Bardsley in the City goal.

56 min: Hanson finds some space on the edge of the box but her shot is blocked by Bonner and City clear.

United once again starting the half strongly as they look to find a way through this City defence.

Looks as though we may have some activity on the bench in a minute or two as well…

57 min: God, City are all over the shop at the back all of a sudden. Galton fizzes a ball in towards Zelem and Bonner gets her clearance all wrong as she slices it behind her! Thankfully for the City defender Bardsley deals with it calmly.

United well on top now.

60 min: City are pinned into their own half just now, United’s pressing is truly brilliant.
