Americans To Go On Post-Pandemic Shopping Spree

The majority of Americans are planning to go on a shopping spree this summer, according to a poll conducted by OnePoll. The poll surveyed 2,000 Americans and found that 48% of them think they've saved enough to spend guilt-free this summer. 45% of the respondents said that they would be spending more this summer than the previous two summers combined. The survey found that vacations and restaurants are where the majority of people will be looking to spend their money. "After such a tumultuous year, it’s no surprise that consumers are ready to splurge this summer," Silvija Martincevic, Chief Commercial Officer at Affirm. However, 44% of respondents are concerned they’ll spend too much and rack up credit card debt.
