Cullen battling back

Cullen has shown great resilience here to dig in and he is beginning to come back into this one as we finish round three.

Docherty has blood pouring down his face after being cut. Unclear whether it was from a punch or a head clash but either way his eye is covered.

This could get interesting.

Docherty-Cullen into second half

This has been an absorbing fight to watch so far as the bell sounds for the end of round five.

After being dropped in the first, Cullen has really come back into it and could well be leading this fight on the cards now. It’s certainly very close.

Docherty’s first round knockdown

This was the knockdown inside the first 25 seconds. The fight has certainly changed a great deal since those opening exchanges.

Nothing to split them after seven

This is still so, so close. Cullen looks to have landed the cleaner shots but Docherty is being more busy. It’s what you prefer really.

Can feel a draw here…

Big round for Cullen!

Cullen with a lovely left hook-right hand combination and that definitely hurt Docherty as he holds on to try and get through the round.

The underdog could be on the verge of a major upset here! Two to go.

Docherty struggling as we head into final round

A close round in the ninth as Docherty may have just stolen it but he is almost certainly a couple of rounds down heading into the final three minutes.

The pre-fight favourite needs a big finish to try and avoid defeat here.

Final bell - Cullen done enough for victory?

Docherty held on for the majority of that final three minutes. He looked absolutely spent and in no way a man who was doing enough to snatch a draw.

Think Cullen has won this by a couple of rounds.

Cullen gets it!

Jack Cullen produces the first upset of the night as he wins by unanimous decision! 96-94, 96-94 and 95-94 all in favour of the 27-year-old from Lancashire. Gutting for John Docherty.

Rachel Ball v Jorgelina Guanini up next!

Here we go then. Next up is the first of our three women’s world title fights as Rachel Ball looks to win her first boxing world title against Jorgelina Guanini. The bout has been moved up a weight class to super-bantamweight after Guanini had problems with making the weight, so this will be for the WBA strap in the 122-pound division.
