One of the biggest night’s in women’s boxing history took place tonight as three major fights were staged at Wembley Arena.

It was another special night for women’s boxing and one you should not have missed.

Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez: Round 5

It’s not just that Taylor is beating her down but Gutierrez is also doing very little when she does get through. She clips Taylor with a couple of slip left-hooks but the Irish superstar looks totally unphased.

A closer round but still Taylor’s as her jab and left hooks dictate the tempo.

50-44 Taylor.

Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez: Round 6

Taylor hasn’t missed with a left hook all night and she gets through with a number of sensational, swift shots again in the first minute of the sixth.

Gutierrez is swarmed as Taylor unloads on her once more but credit the Spaniard - she is very, very tough.

It’s all Taylor though. And Gutierrez really needs to be pulled out.

60-53 Taylor.

Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez: Round 7

If there’s a better fighter than Katie Taylor at working the body then I’d like to see them. The spiteful, vicious nature of her punching to the abdomen is both brutal and beautiful in equal measure.

Gutierrez is not much more than a punching bag at this point. Taylor will want the stoppage though.

70-62 Taylor.

Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez: Round 8

Another two sensational right hands are driven in by Taylor and they wobble Gutierrez to her very core. But Taylor just cannot find those final punches to end the fight because the Spaniard is as tough as old boots.

She should be getting pulled out by her corner though. Live to fight another day. There is NO chance she is going to win this.

80-71 Taylor.

Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez: Round 9

Double left hook, uppercut and then a right hand all within the space of about 0.1 of a second. This is truly scintillating from Taylor, it’s been a punch-perfect display.

Barely a mark on the Irish champion’s face. Less can be said for Gutierrez who is struggling to put any meat on her punches now. The Spaniard throws a couple of lazy right hands but Taylor comfortably moves out of the way and peppers her with expert counter shots.

Don’t think Taylor has lost more than ten seconds of this entire fight.

90-80 Taylor.

Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez: Round 10

The tenth and final round is another dominant two minutes from Taylor. Gutierrez is determined to see the final bell and she eventually gets her wish. But there is absolutely no doubt about who has won this one.

Taylor is a special, special, special champion.

100-89 Taylor.

Katie Taylor defends world titles with superb decision victory

Well that was a formality. 100-89, 100-90, 99-91 all in favour of Taylor. You’ll be hard pushed to find a better world title defence than that.

We are lucky to be alive to watch her.
