Terri Harper v Katharina Thanderz: Round 7

Thanderz dips her head and is met with a thumping right hand straight into the temple from Harper at the start of the round - great shot.

But Thanderz then lands a nice body shot and a jab towards the end of the round which may have stolen it for her. The last two rounds have been much closer than the first five were, but Thanderz may well have closed the gap in the last five minutes or so.

68-65 Harper.

Terri Harper v Katharina Thanderz: Round 8

Thanderz stands and waits for Harper to come at her in the middle of the round but the Brit simply shakes her hands out as if to say ‘come and get me’.

Harper is circling the ring and refusing to get involved too much. Thanderz is getting through in spots but think that was another round for the Brit.

78-74 Harper.

Terri Harper v Katharina Thanderz: Round 9

Oooo that wasn’t nice. A clash of heads as Thanderz comes off worst with a little bit of blood from the nose.

Harper then goes on the attack moments later and hits Thanderz with a sensational left hook to the body! Best shot of the fight and the Norwegian is in trouble here!

Another flurry of shots and the referee steps in! All over. Terri Harper defends her world titles in style!

Terri Harper bounces back from Natasha Jonas draw with brilliant win

That was a really brilliant performance from Harper. She had her range on point all night and Thanderz never really got to grips with her. A couple of closer rounds in the middle of the fight but on the whole that was a dominant stoppage victory for the Brit.

Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez

Right then, so far the two women’s fights have gone pretty much how we thought they would. Can Miriam Gutierrez spring an almighty upset here in the main event of the night?

She’s out in the ring. Here comes Katie Taylor!

Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez

Here we go then. Both women are in the ring. They touch gloves. Fight time!

Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez: Round 1

My goodness. Taylor launches herself over to the other side of the ring and explodes at Miriam Gutierrez in the opening exchanges. The Spaniard looks stunned as a brutal right hand is driven straight down the pipe from the Irish champion.

A breathtaking first minute is then met with a more cautious final 60 seconds. No question Taylor wins the opener though.

10-9 Taylor.

Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez: Round 2

Bit more of an even start to the second round as Gutierrez begins to find her range a little more.

I say that, as soon as I’ve given Gutierrez some credit, Taylor begins to work the body with spiteful punching. Taylor’s speed is a real problem for the Spaniard here and already she seems to be wearing down her opponent.

Gutierrez opens up and gets whacked with a looping left hook. One way traffic.

20-18 Taylor.

Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez: Round 3

This is absolutely terrific from Katie Taylor! A left hook to the body is followed up by a left hook to the head and Gutierrez is stumbling everywhere.

The undisputed champion jumps on her and launches a full-blown attack on Gutierrez as she cuts her off in the corner. A powerful right hand has the Spaniard on shaky ground again but somehow she gets through the round.

Thought that was game over.

30-27 Taylor.

Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez: Round 4

Man, feeling a bit sorry for Gutierrez here because she looks two, three, four levels below Taylor here.

Every time the Spaniard opens up she is met with a barrage of punches from the Irish champion. The quick jab-straight right hand combination is working to perfection, as is the left-hook counter. It really is a joy to watch a legend of the game.

Oh and down goes Gutierrez on the bell! A slick right hand and left hook puts her down on the canvas. A 10-8 round and I think this needs to be stopped very soon.

40-35 Taylor.
