Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal

90 min: This game has simmered but never quite reached boiling point.

Four minutes of added time.

Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal

90+1 min: CHANCE! How has that not gone in?!

It’s yet another corner which is swung in by Weir and it appears to fall to Houghton just two yards out but the defender is denied by some last ditch defending on the line!

Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal

90+3 min: Another chance from another corner! Weir delivers and Greenwood sends a looping header towards the top corner but it’s hooked away again by some goalmouth defending.

City are on the brink but they may just run out of time.

Manchester City 2-1 Arsenal

90+4 min: GOAL! No they haven’t run out of time! Caroline Weir has won it for Manchester City at the death!

It’s the coolest of finishes. On the edge of the area Weir just caresses the ball with the inside of her left foot and it swings into the bottom corner! Incredible stuff.

Manchester City 2-1 Arsenal

FULL-TIME: That was one of the last touches. Caroline Weir’s 94th minute strike has snatched victory for Manchester City in the dying seconds. Vivianne Miedema’s opener in the third minute was pretty much the only chance Arsenal had all game. City kept coming and coming, even after Sam Mewis had levelled things up in the first half. And they got their reward right at the end. Dramatic stuff.

Thanks for joining me, it’s been a great afternoon of action. See you again soon.
