29 min: That would have been a freak goal! Fara Williams takes a corner for Reading. It’s cleared back out to the England legend and she elects to cut across the ball with her cross back in. Instead it spins towards the goal and almost loops Mary Earps! It ends up on the roof of the net but that would have been a real fluke!

32 min: Penalty appeal? Harries does superbly down the line to drive past her on the left touchline and surge into the box. She goes down but that would have been soft.

Oh, hang on…

32 min: GOAL! Manchester United go straight up the other end and it’s in from Leah Galton!

What a brilliant break from the visitors. Hayley Ladd plays a defence-splitting pass through the heart of the Reading defence. Leah Galton runs onto it and as she strides into the box takes the shot on with her left foot. Moloney looks to parry the ball away but it goes through her hands and in. 

Poor keeping but a lightning quick break.

34 min: United almost double their lead immediately! Heath is in the thick of things again, pulling the ball back to Ella Toone in the middle but she can only find the side-netting.

Reading need to weather this storm.

36 min: Aaaaaaaand breathe.

38 min: Reading probing again as they look to get back in the game after ten minutes of almost entirely Manchester United pressure. They need to be careful though, United look devastating when those spaces open up at the back.

40 min: A Reading free-kick from near the half-way line is lumped into the box by Fara Williams. It bounces around dangerously but is eventually cleared by Millie Turner. Some encouraging signs again for the hosts.

42 min: Terrible corner from Heath. The World Cup winner curls it straight into the side-netting. Odd.

43 min: CHANCE! Toone uses her pace to get in behind again and she’s found by another wonderful pass through the middle from Ladd. Toone is in on goal but Moloney makes up for her error as she is out in double quick time to sweep up the danger just as the United striker looks to take it round her.

45 min: As we approach the break Toone is away down the right-hand side again. She looks up and tries to clip one in for Heath in the middle but it’s headed away. The Royals will want half-time here.
