Reading 0-0 Manchester United

11 min: Really nice play again by the hosts as Harries clips a pacey ball into the area which Harding flicks over the top at the near post. Good movement from the striker and unlucky not to get that on target.

Really positive start from Reading.

Reading 0-0 Manchester United

13 min: Heath slides Toone in down the left and the United winger cuts inside but her cross is straight at Grace Moloney. End to end stuff.

Reading 0-0 Manchester United

It’s been a superb start from the hosts. Who is top of the league again?

Reading 0-0 Manchester United

15 min: CHANCE! Just as I say that there’s a chance for Manchester United. It’s pulled back to the edge of the area by Heath and Hanson comes onto the ball with her left foot but it hits her shin and flies wide!

Clean connection and that could have been 1-0.

Reading 0-0 Manchester United

17 min: Oh dear, Jess Fishlock gets away with one as she gives the ball away deep in her own half. Ella Toone tries to make the most of it, only for Fishlock to redeem herself by clearing the ball away.

Reading 0-0 Manchester United

18 min: YELLOW! Reading full-back Leine is the first player to go in the book as she arrives late to the ball. Not ideal to receive a caution this early.

Reading 0-0 Manchester United

21 min: After some nice Reading attacks Manchester United are just starting to get back on top now as they pin the hosts in for several minutes.

A roar from the home crowd bursts out as they look to lift their team. They’ve made a great fist of things in this opening 20 minutes.

Reading 0-0 Manchester United

24 min: Galton finds Heath inside the Reading penalty area but the American can’t sort her feet out and she loses the ball before committing a foul.

Match postponed

Bit of news just coming in from Birmingham City. Their match with Everton this afternoon has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Reading 0-0 Manchester United

26 min: CHANCE! Reading keeper Moloney gets away with one there! She comes charging out of her area but doesn’t get to the ball ahead of Hanson. The United forward takes it round her but from a tight angle her effort is cleared by Bartrip.
